Final Ideation - Paper Cut Out

After one week, I have finished my sketches for my toyshop. In the first time, Ms. Lisa told me to change the position of the symmetrical  into a asymmetrical and I have to redraw it become a asymmetrical idea.
Here is some of my approve idea after redraw those idea.

At first, I have turn the symmetrical to an asymmetrical, but after I expand it it looks like a lips and it look like not very perspective so I decided to change it again.

For the symmetrical one, this is my first finalize idea but after that I have change a bit about it so that it become more neat. 

I have do the other design for the symmetrical design as I have try to do this as the symmetrical design for the toyshop also. After that, I have try to use the old design for my final ideation.

 This two is the final idea for my toyshop paper cut out. Stay tuned for the final artwork. See you.

Now, it's the time to cut them out.

In order to choose a suitable colour for the cut out, I have went to many different place to find the material.

Here is some of the colour of mounting board that send to me from Suksian. Thanks her for helping me about the colours.

I had bought the wrong colour for my mounting board that the colour is somehow more darker then the one I want.

The first paper cut out is the lighter colour one, but it looks to me is very weird so I change the colour of the green colour to the middle one, it took me one night to finish it.

Exhibition Time

Welcome to the exhibition of Where is Your Square at the Coda Gallery. It is opposite the Starbucks Coffee at Taylor's Lakeside University.
In this whole week, we are having an exhibition of what we have done for the expanding square assignment. This exhibition have a collection of the artwork from three batch of students from Foundation In Design. There are our senior, our batch, and our junior batch. In this exhibition, I am very enjoy looking the artwork form the others as these are their artwork.
Besides that, we are in charge on taking care about the gallery during the exhibition. We take turn with other to take care the gallery.


This is my artwork that have been chosen to exhibit in the gallery. I feel very proud for it as this was the first time my artwork had been exhibit in the gallery.

Final Outcome

After three weeks of working for this assignment, we have finally done our final outcome for this project. In order to finish this project, I have not sleep for one day and because of this, I feel sleepy during english class.
This is the final outcome of my project.

In this assignment, I have chose light colour for this assignment, like pink and light green. This was because it would looks cute and fun as the combination of this two colours. Toy shops is a place that make children feel happy and have alots of fun. It make children laugh and smile. Enjoy.

Reference and Research - Square

For this assignment, I have do lots of reference and research for it. At first, I feel very hard for me as I dont know how to apply the idea of toy shop into the paper cut out. Before this, I dont know there are many other design for toyshop.

This is some of the design of the toy store. It was very interesting for me to do research about toy shop. Toyshop is a place that specializing for selling toys. Children love to go to the toy shop to buy toys as there are many type of toys selling in the toy shop. When I was young, I am very looking forward to go to the toyshop. It was because as a children, toys are the playmate for them. I am very looking forward to the outcome for the paper cut out of this assignment. See ya~~XD 

What's your Square?

Today, we are going to find out what is our square in our life. In this class, we are going expand our square. Now, what is your square? If we try to put your personality in the square, how is your square looks like? In my square, I think my square will looks pink and it is smiling. Why? It was because some of my friend think that I am childish and sometime fun and crazy. In my opinion, I think that pink is suitable for the personality of childish and fun.

What is your square?

In this class, we have to think about what is in our square and we have to think of some idea and after that we have to choose one topic for our square. At first, I was very suffering in thinking the idea of what is in my square. After that, I have think of some idea like childhood, dreams, natural, cat, dinner, candy, and theme park. Those topic have not been chosen by Ms. Lisa so I have to struggle again to have more idea for my square. Finally, I have my final idea for my square. What is it? It is a toy shop. It is a very simple idea but when I have emerge the idea of toy shop into the paper cut out, it is a very hard moment as there are many details in the toy shop as there are many details in the top shop.

Besides that, after the finalization of the idea, we have to do at lease six sketches for both symmetrical and asymmetrical design.In those few days, I have think very hard to have those design idea coming out, I have make alot of reference and research about the toy shop and try to apply it on my paper cut out design.
