Music painting

After the monogram presentation, we have our music painting, this is the first time I try about music paint, it is like we have listen to music and paint. There are two type of music that prepare for the music painting. There are classical music and pop music. Each tyep of music last for about one hour and we have to paint based on the music we heard. It's like we just feel the music and paint.

For classical music, the first part was very sad and after the first song, the rythme went to happy. My drawing looks like a part with cold colour and one part with hot colour, It is very interesting.

For the pop music, my drawing looks like jelly bean. I feel very hungry that time so the drawing looks like food? Maybe.. Haha. The music really influence a person feeling. The colour that I use from calm colour end with dark colour at the end. It is a good experience in our life.

 This is the dark colour part.

The starting part is with very very very light colours.

Throughtout this semester, I have leart so many things from 2D Diamensional Design class. There are so meny first time that I spend in the class. I really enjoy them. Thank you Ms Lisa.

Finally, it is the day for our presentation. Today, we have our last day of 2D Diamensional Design class. Now, lets enjoy our monogram presentation.

Posters producing

After we finished stenciling all six item that we bought, we are going to have presentation. Before that, we have to make to poster before we presented them. What kind of poster we are going to make. The first one is our monogram, and our name. The second one is we have to design our wrapping paper, that means we have to design our monogram into wrapping paper. Here is my pregress.

Hoho, I love this very much. It looks to me very neat and simply. Although it was very simply, it still looks nice.

This is the pattern for my wrapping paper, it looks like mustache or a ribbon.

Stenciling in class

Today, we have to print our monogram on the items that we had bought on lthe last few weeks, printing is the most fun part of doing the whole monogram. It looks like the item belongs to you because it was printed with your own monogram.Lets see.

This is the place where we print our monogram is class, it was really messy.

Some of us are cutting out the monogram for stencil and some are stenciling. By the way, It was fun.

This is my first stenciled item. It is very cut right, fat at the bottom and it is very small. The reason that I chose small item is because I would like to keep all the items in a box.

The blue cup is my second painted item. I paint the bottom part of the little cup into blue.

Monogram Research

This week, we have our new assignment. For this assignment, we are assigned to design our very own monogram. After we designed our monogram, we have to print it on six different item. It sounds very interesting. So, what is monogram? A monogram is a motif made by overlapping or combining two or more letters or other grapheme to form one symbol. It is often made by combining the initials of an individual or a company, for other people to easy recognise them.


Before we design our own monogram, Ms. Lisa told us to do some research of monogram. We have to found out the type of monogram we like and share with class.

Here is some of the monogram that impress me.

KS Monogram - Kite String Studio

It looks like a paper folding monogram, as there are different tone in the monogram.

VM Monogram - Vallory Miller

This is the monogram that inspire me a lot. It is simple and elegant. Besides of write the letter V and M out individually, the design combine this two letters perfectly and also with different tones.

Dark Bird Studios

Turning the letters into different side also will make different. This is a monogram of alphabet D and B. It looks like a bird face adding a little triangle into it.

Sew Prefect

It is a needle and a string, but it is also a monogram. How nice it is.

After that, here is some research of the printing skills that we have to apply on our items after we designed our monogram.

I am very interested in this assignment. How would my monogram looks like, stayed tune.

Batik Presentation

Today is the batik presentation. Our batik is totally dry and ready for presentation. Yeah~!

Here is our batik, it is a bird family. Instead of drawing peacock, we had try the other type of birds. The reason we chose parrot is parrot is a type colourful bird same as peacock. Parrot have many colours and batik is beautiful when it is full of colour so we decided to choose parrot.
